My girlfriend’s cousins have lost their multi-generational family home in Lahaina due to the fires. The tourism industry in Maui is currently prioritizing visitors over actual residents, leaving native Hawaiians with little or no assistance, and the government is not helping either. Please read and reblog this post. The town of Lahaina on the island of Maui has been devastated by a wildfire. It’s not just Lahaina; other areas on Maui are without food and water, and there is no cell service.

Over 1,000 buildings have been destroyed and the current fatality count is 80 people. Here are some places you can donate to help the evacuees:
